Bears Open Age will face Ince Rose
Bridge in the semi-final of this years Ken Gee Cup, having beaten
Shevington Sharks in the last round. Kick off is at 2.30pm at Ince Rose
Bridge on Saturday 15th May.

are holding a community quiz night at Garswood Hall Bowling Club, with
all proceeds from the event kindly going to Ashton Bears. For more

spending time at Low Bank Road to improve the pitch and facilities. [More]

Bears would like to
thank everyone at the local press for their continued coverage and
support throughout the season. Bears match reports from all ages are
published in the Wigan Evening Post on either Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday, and the Wigan Observer (published weekly).

Bears Open Age are
holding a sportsmans dinner at the Masonic Hall in Bryn on Friday May
29th. Guest Speak is Shaun Wane and guests are advised to arrive at 7pm
for a 7.30pm start. Should you like more information or like to book a
ticket, please speak to someone at the game, or alternatively email Brian
Naylor.

Bears if you do your weekly shop at
Tesco, you can donate your vouchers for schools & clubs to Ashton
Bears ARLFC. Just put them in the box at Low Bank Road and we can then
trade them in for sports equipment.

Bears are still on the hunt for would be rugby players for the first
and second teams. If you want to play at a high standard there’s
always the first team, however if you just want to come down on a
Saturday for a game the second team is for you.
Even
if you've never played the game before but are interested in doing, or
you've been out of the sport for a while, come down to Low Bank Road
for a chat with the coaches or email
Anna with a contact number and someone will try to get back to you.
Please come down on
Tuesdays or Thursdays for training sessions or Saturdays on match day
and get involved in a great game at an up and coming club.
