Ashton
Bears completed their inaugural bike ride on Sunday 20th July in order
to raise money for the club and Wigan and
Leigh
Hospice, only suffering one puncture.
Club
Captain Peter Shaw was joined by Steven Naylor, Matty Melling, David
Smith, Neil Ireland, Ste Smith, Paul Murphy and Ste Pownall, while
Vinny Smith represented the committee. Mini riders were Liam
Richardson, who cycled the whole way, Charlie Richardson and Liam
Smith.
Thanks
to everyone who contributed to organising the event, in particular Ste
and Barry Smith. Also thank you to the cars who traveled with the
riders, and mainly thank you to the riders themselves for cycling in
aid of Ashton Bears and Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
