Following a lot of hard work
from everyone involved with Ashton Bears, the Open Age will be playing
at Low Bank Road from the 2006-07 season. A lot of work has gone
underway at the clubhouse to keep it up-to-date and to ensure it meets
the needs of both the junior and open age section. This includes work
on the showers, gym and changing rooms which will be completed by the
start of the new season. It is hoped that the amalgamation between the
open age and junior section will move the club forward and attract new
players and volunteers to Ashton Bears.
Work has begun on the Low
Bank Road clubhouse and we will have more pictures once the work is
completed. The work is being carried out by members of the Open Age
team and committee as well as committee members from the junior
section, all of whom we'd like to thank for their hard work.
